(How) Can I dispute a medical bill for unsolicited services?

It was the responsible thing for the doctor to do sending the specimen for pathology. I bet if you read your consent to treat and your procedure consent it'll have something in there about the doctor having your permission to do what he thinks is best. I do think he should have discussed it with you to stay on the same page and to answer any questions you might have had.
