Can ipecac become ineffective?

Ok please do not judge or give me "what the hec is wrong with you" responses. I have recently started taking ipecac and before you say stop...I already have decided I am going to after today. I took it about every other day for the past 5 days mainly just because. I last took it Saturday night and I just took it again a few minutes ago. I am not feeling nauseous this time though and I just wanted to see if ipecac can become ineffective if taken so many times or if it will indeed be working soon. Please don't tell me to stop. I already am. I just need an answer to this question. I truly am going to stop taking it now and have already made a promise to God to not take it anymore. I know all it does is mess me up. I always eat really healthy but this week I had so much stress that I wasn't watching what I was eating and had to rid myself of the excess food. I used to have an eating disorder which explains but tomorrow I am going back to healthy eating and am going to forget about this.
